MeshHome

Privacy policy

Effective 7 October 2026. This policy covers the MeshHome app for iPhone and iPad and the MeshHome push relay.

In short: the MeshHome app talks only to the MeshHome server you set up yourself. We (the developer) don't collect, store or see your messages, contacts, location or any other personal data. There are no accounts with us, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Your server, your data

MeshHome is self-hosted. You install the MeshHome server on your own computer, and the app connects only to the address you enter (or find on your network). Your messages, contacts, radio settings and account are stored on that server, under your control. The app keeps a copy of recent conversations on your device so it opens quickly and works offline; signing out deletes it. Your sign-in is kept in the device's Keychain; your password is never stored on the device.

Push notifications (optional)

Push notifications are off until the owner of the server turns them on and you turn them on in the app. Apple only delivers notifications signed with the app's key, so they pass through the MeshHome push relay at push.meshhome.app, which runs on Cloudflare:

Turning push notifications off in the app, or signing out, stops them.

Maps

The map uses Apple Maps by default (Apple's privacy policy applies). You can instead choose the map tile server configured on your MeshHome server, which then receives the map areas you view.

Permissions

Children

MeshHome isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone.
